Route Analysis

The Baltimore Lift is a proposed aerial gondola transportation system in Baltimore that would link Fells Point and Harbor East with the Baltimore Convention Center. Current schematic drawings for the initial line of the Baltimore Lift identify stations at four locations: the Allied Signal site, Harbor East, Inner Harbor, and the Convention Center. Many future routes are possible, including connections around and/or over the Inner Harbor to Federal Hill and Locust Point.

The current proposal would serve convention attendees traveling between the Marriott Convention Hotel and the Convention Center, residents and visitors traveling between downtown Baltimore and Fells Point, persons attending events in and around the Inner Harbor including Orioles and Ravens games, and persons working in or visiting the Inner Harbor area that arrive via light rail or the MARC Camden line.
