Trey and Peter Winstead were raised in Baltimore. Trey graduated from Gilman School in 1993 and earned a BE in civil engineering from
Vanderbilt University. Peter graduated from Boys’ Latin in 1996 and earned a BA in Architecture from Middlebury College.
After moving back to Baltimore after time abroad, Trey and Peter quickly realized that many of Baltimore’s pedestrian travel problems
could be solved with an innovative approach to pedestrian transportation. A gondola linking Canton, Fell’s Point, and The Inner Harbor
could solve many problems and help throw Baltimore into the national spotlight. Since then, that idea has blossomed.
Winstead Brothers LLC was formed to execute contracts with investors, Leitner-Poma, architects, engineers, and a general contractor.
